Terrie O’Connor’s daughter, Katy O’Connor Smiechowski, is the Director of Professional Development at Terrie O’Connor Realtors and is an integral contributor to the organization and the Terrie O’Connor Realtor’s Real Estate School.  Katy works to hire our outstanding instructors and create class schedules to accommodate the needs of students seeking day, evening and Saturday class options.

Katy also heads up the many faceted educational and training programs provided by Terrie O’Connor Realtors. Licensed for over 20 years and a recipient of New Jersey Association of Realtors Circle of Excellence® award for 2011, Katy continues to work as a successful real estate sales professional. Katy utilizes her experience as a teacher, holding a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Teachers College, Columbia University.  Katy’s background enables her to guide the scope and sequence of our educational offerings.

 

The State of New Jersey requires Continuing Education requirements every two years for all licensed real estate agents practicing in New Jersey.   Katy developed Continuing Education programs at Terrie O'Connor Realtors so our agents can complete their continuing education requirements in-house at Terrie O’Connor Realtors.  In addition to what is required by the State of New Jersey, Katy offers professional development opportunities for our agents to improve their business, for example, classes on iPad for Real Estate Professionals, and hosting seminars with nationally renowned speakers like Steve Harney and Leading Real Estate Companies of the World.  Our agents appreciate these company driven opportunities which keep them continually up to date with current trends in the market as well as the newest technologies. It is imperative to their success.
